It doesn't seem like much on the outside. But the food and service is amazing. Came here for a birthday, and ordered one of the seafood bags/boil, was very good and comparable to known restaurants such as Hook and Reel.

We always love coming here. Kids get a free kids meal with adult entree and the food is always amazing! The owner and chef is always making sure the quality is up to his standards- even came out and gave us some "better fish" after he thought the other serving brought out to us wasn't cooked perfectly (which it was). I always get the crab cakes with their sauteed spinach and jasmine rice. It is SO good. My husband always gets the swamp water catfish which is a big enough portion for him to make two meals out of it. The gumbo was a tad on the salty side, but that didn't stop him from eating the entire bowl that was brought out to him. He made sounds of approval the entire meal! I also enjoy the servers. They've all been very friendly and accommodating. We showed up during an event that needed reservations one time and they still made a table for us. I'm glad to see this place doing so well. Huber Heights needs more establishments that care about their product and attention to detail as much as this place does! We've eaten here at least a dozen times now and it's been great every single time. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Decided to have a couple of drinks with some family that turned into a sampling of various dishes that did not miss. It was nice to pass time by playing darts and watching the basketball games while we waited on our food Kicked off with the crab fries that were surprisingly tangy with a hint of sweet Cajun flavor that was enough for four to munch on. From there our dinner arrived quickly that was two orders of the fish-n-chips, salmon bites, and crab alfredo Everything was just right and was portioned perfectly for everyone to sample each other's plate. Hard to know you can get a quick bite of seafood so close by without a lot of fuss. It was day 2 of NCAA March Madness and had tvs galore so you could catch the games from any angle We'll be back to sample many other dishes again very soon!

Stopped in on a cold y for a warm lunch and glad we did. Shrimp Po-Boy for me and Gumbo and Fried Catfish for her. We spent six years in Baton Rouge and know good gumbo and Sands passed the test with flying colors. The shrimp and catfish were both well prepared and the bread for the po-boy was fresh and tasty. The server was friendly and the chef-owner came out and chatted a bit. He's spent time in NOLA and knows what he's doing . I suspect we will be semi-regulars from now on. We were informed that they will be creating a southern drink menu with Hurricanes and Sazeracs so that should be a nice addition. Only suggestion would be to add some crawfish to the menu. Could be offered fried in a platter and an additional ingredient in the Gumbo.

Really love this place. Not pretentious- friendly and the seafood gumbo is fantastic. I usually go for the fish of the day- blackened if it's sea bass. A full step up from fast food ambiance but it's not white tablecloth. Full bar with good selections - ask for a stirred dry martini (Hendricks). Highly recommend this HH gem.

Started off with the gumbo, packed full of sausage and shrimp, great flavor. Then had the crab cake, which was huge and topped with a spicy sauce! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
